The Project
Extent Heritage led the preparation of the municipality’s new Heritage Strategy document, which involved substantial consultation with council officers, stakeholder groups and the wider community over a period of one year. The former strategy’s effectiveness was reviewed and we utilised its successful elements and introduced new components that allowed Council to clearly understand its KPIs over a period of time.
Value unlocked
The strategy, prepared in line with Heritage Victoria’s Municipal Heritage Strategies: Guide for Councils, and operating within the themes of knowing, protecting, promoting and supporting, equips the Council with an efficient process through which to identify the measures and priority works that are necessary to maintain and manage its heritage assets, disseminate information and engage local communities and celebrate related achievements.
