The Project

Extent Heritage, with collaborative partners Lovell Chen, prepared the South Carlton Heritage Study for the City of Melbourne. Employing an innovative new model for heritage studies, the study drew Aboriginal cultural values into the identification of places of significance in the study area.

Value Unlocked

The project will allow for previously unrecognised places, in particular places of Aboriginal cultural value (both pre- and post-contact), to be acknowledged as places of significance on the heritage overlay of the City of Melbourne.
