Experience

Reiner is an experienced archaeologist skilled in the survey, assessment and excavation of Aboriginal and historical archaeological sites. He has worked both in Australia and overseas in the archaeology and heritage professions, including collaboration with international multi-disciplinary teams in Turkey. Over the past six years, Reiner has worked on a number of archaeological assessment and excavation projects in both Queensland and New South Wales, primarily involving the survey, excavation and assessment of Aboriginal archaeological sites.

His experience encompasses field surveys, Aboriginal community consultation, test and salvage excavations, monitoring works, supervising fieldwork projects, report writing, and post-excavation analysis.  Other specialist skills include archaeological mapping and geospatial analysis using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and field survey using Global Positioning Systems.
