Mount Victoria Railway Station

A COMPLEX AND SIGNIFICANT HERITAGE PROJECT

The project

Extent Heritage was commissioned to prepare a series of heritage reports for Mount Victoria Railway Station. Mount Victoria Railway Station Group is of State significance as a large complex of mid-late nineteenth and early twentieth-century railway buildings that clearly illustrate the development of railway facilities in the Blue Mountains area.

Our Role

Extent provided a package of heritage reports to assess the rich and complex significance of the station, and to facilitate sympathetic change on site. Overall the aim of the work was to minimise and mitigate potential heritage impacts arising from planned remodelling works and various other maintenance and refurbishment projects at the site.

Value unlocked

Mount Victoria Railway Station Group is of State significance as a large complex of mid-late nineteenth and early twentieth century railway buildings that clearly illustrate the development of railway facilities in the Blue Mountains area.
