Oliver is a Principal Heritage Advisor with over 10 years’ full-time experience as a professional archaeologist. He holds a PhD in archaeology from the Australian National University and is a specialist in the identification and analysis of Aboriginal lithic artefacts. Oliver has worked on heritage assessments for a diverse range of projects, from initial design phase assessments through to securing impact permits, producing heritage management plans, and carrying out post-approval salvage. He is skilled in surface survey, site recording, test and salvage excavations, laboratory analysis of archaeological material, and data analysis. Projects he has worked on have varied in scale from small housing projects to large-scale mining operations. Clients have been situated in the construction, defence, energy, roads, and mining industries. Oliver brings extensive experience collaborating within diverse multidisciplinary teams as well expertise in the understanding and application of cultural heritage legislation.

Oliver’s great communication skills allow him to effectively present information to stakeholders and clients using an array of media including written reports, verbal presentations, and posters.
