ICOMOS GA 2023: A THANK YOU FROM EXTENT HERITAGE

Last month Sydney was host to over 1,000 heritage experts from all over the world for the 21st General Assembly of ICOMOS. Across over 150 events, site visits, workshops, lectures and gatherings, different communities came together to discuss the past, present and future of heritage.

Extent Heritage was at the heart of the proceedings. At the Knowledge Hub, we hosted dozens of events. It was also home to Memoryscapes project, for which we collected memories of places of personal significance, from global landmarks to people’s backyards—anywhere, anywhen. Hundreds of people stopped by the Knowledge Hub to add their contribution to our Memoryscapes tree. By the end of the conference it was in full bloom.

We at Extent Heritage would like to extend our sincerest thanks to all those who participated in the GA. A conference like this is nothing without the people that share their passions and knowledge.

Special thanks to those who were involved in this video: Andrew Sneddon, Leo Martin, Madeline Shanahan, Will Cox, Jim Wheeler, Mark Heiss, Kathy Lai, Dr Brad Duncan, Kerrie Saunders, Ian Travers, Gizella Dr. Börcsök, Jim Wheeler, MacLaren North
