Michelle Bashta

Michelle is an experienced heritage consultant with a background in historical research and analysis. During her time at Extent, Michelle has project managed a large number of significant projects including numerous municipal heritage studies, the Victorian Goldfields World Heritage Tentative List application process and local council advisory services. Michelle matches these project management skills with her technical knowledge based in her historical training and a deep knowledge of the processes of heritage management across Australia. Michelle is also an experienced expert witness is has provided expert witness services to VCAT and Planning Panels Victoria.

Michelle has contributed to the preparation of expert evidence reports since 2015 in support of senior staff members for hearings at VCAT, Planning Panels Victoria and the Heritage Council of Victoria. This experience ensured that Michelle has a detailed understanding of the expectations and requirements of expert evidence reports across the various tribunals and a strong background working with advocates and reviewing briefs.
