Billy Quinn

Billy, a graduate from University College Galway, Ireland has accrued over three decades of experience in a wide variety of archaeological and architectural heritage projects and is a senior heritage consultant based in the Melbourne office. In 1996, he became a licenced eligible archaeological director, with consent to undertake excavations for archaeological purposes. Billy has worked on many significant excavations in Ireland, Australia, and beyond, ranging from pre-historic sites to First World War battlefields, in locations including Ethiopia, Albania, the Isle of Man, and Belgium.

Billy has been involved in all aspects of contract archaeology for both the public and private sector, including designing investigation and mitigation strategies for major construction and infrastructural developments, preparing cultural heritage assessments, undertaking predevelopment archaeological testing, and directing excavations in both rural and urban contexts.
