Alex is a senior GIS specialist with more than seven years’ experience as a geographic information systems (GIS) specialist, including four years in the heritage profession.

In addition to GIS analysis, he possesses strong technical skills in 3D modelling and photogrammetry, leveraging advanced software to recreate physical environments in digital form. As a senior member of the Extent Heritage Geospatial and Digital Heritage team, Alex has been involved in a number of high-profile projects, including the provision of 3D modelling and fly through models for archaeological excavations at Little Lonsdale/Bennetts Lane and Rockbank Inn. Alex has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Geospatial Science from RMIT and has worked in a broad range of geospatial capacities, analysing data and generating mapping for a wide range of projects across Australia and internationally.

Alex has provided inputs for a range of cultural values projects across Victoria and experienced in symbolising tangible and intangible cultural values that have been identified by Traditional Owners in cultural values mapping processes. Alex is a heritage advisor under the Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006 (Vic).
